An apple a day…
Last thursday my iBook arrived and I sat down today trying to figure out, how it is working.
I have not had any experience with Apple, nor Mac OS. I am so curious, so I ordered an 12' iBook to see for myself. Because I have high expectations, there is nothing great to report about. I have installed Tiger already (the iBook came with preinstalled 10.3), but due to my low knowledge, I am not sure, what I should have installed and what should have been left away.
Really good is: Got AirPort running in 3 minutes, installed Firefox and Thunderbird without a problem. Connected to my Nokia 6230 using it as GPRS modem in about 5 mins.
I installed Xcode and eclipse, but not sure, what to do with them...
But I need to get used to the new keyboard layout (I already closed down Thunderbird twice trying to type an @ sign resulting in Command-Q)
Here is a pic of the desktop with Dashboard turned on.
