remotunes - iTunes remote controller

Our MobileControl midlet is a simple implementation to allow remote controlling a pc via bluetooth mobile. It uses a bluetooth-com port bridge and utilizes few windows api calls to control the running applications.

Primary it was written to control an audio player remotely and it worked fine for my purposes.

Now I came across remotunes - a free iTunes remote controller for Mac OS X, Windows and Java ME. This free toolset has a much better usability compared to our MobileControl. It connects via bluetooth or network. It controls iTunes only, but in a perfect way and worked without any problems on my mac and windows machines and the setup is really simple. remotunes enables you to browse your iTunes library, play/pause/volume control and even serves cover-art.

In Mobile Rated's Top 25 Free Mobile Games of 2007 List 5ud0ku is present on 13th position. It's really great, that after 5ud0ku's initial release in the beginning of 2006 the game is still popular :)

Looking around for links to our 5ud0ku game, I stumbled across this dooyoo review, which made my day:

… And that's about it; utterly brilliant for Sudoku addicts like me. I would have been prepared to pay money for this game. The fact that it's totally free just shows that there really is such a thing as a "Free Lunch". That it's also just about the best implementation of electronic Sudoku available is really the icing on the cake.

Last week I spent some leisure days in Friedrichskoog. As expected the weather was nice if you like stormy winds and rain. Actually on Wednesday there was sunshine and a no rough sea at all. So I took the chance and walked the Trischendamm. At its end (2,2km) I took the picture below.
