installing and learning
Today I continued putting software on the iBook.
I added the Acrobat Reader, an FTP Client, a VNC Viewer, JEdit, RagTime and some other tiny tools. Also the X11 Server was installed to run GIMP and other neat x-apps.
I experienced some problems with FireFox, who seems to lose the focus, so that the current window cannot be handled properly. A new window always works fine, as now my needful extension, X-Tab, does.
Now I am looking for Spotlight ingeration of Thunderbird...
Last thing I did was trying out iDVD, which is really easy and fast to use. I clicked together one simple DVD with one of the nice menus iDVD ships with, created an image file (don't have a super drive), used the DiskUtility to convert it to a DVD Master (iso) file and volià , Nero could burn it to a dvd...
I really like that Mac OS and iBook!
