bad xp

My windows experience for this night is utilised. I thought, I need to update my old w2k with latest m$ bugfixes. So I did and finally concluded: ok - put on SP4, too. All looked fine, windows started, but after login, it run into a bsod. Aaargh. Safe mode did crash also… So I set up win xp restoring the changed w2k dlls/sys/inf manually. So my w2k has now become even more personalised (I am sure, I have not reversed everything ...). After doing so, I reapplied the security patches and now I hope, it will stay stable. At least until the next pc is ready to overtake. Time to move to linux (will do soon).
